LIVE

Borchi y Su Doble Redoble (Direct from Mexico)
Hip Hop breaks meets brass band fire - Direct from Mexico!

Originally from the Coyoacán district of Mexico City, Pablo Borchi started out as an MC in Mexican live hip hop outfit Beat Buffet. His solo path has taken him to become one of the most relevant artists of the global bass scene in Mexico, being part of the Red Bull Music Academy in 2015 and constantly touring between Mexico, Europe and Latin America.

Borchi y Su Doble Redoble was born in 2016, a concept based live show that brings the atmosphere of the street carnivals of Latin America, specifically of Northern Brazil and the New Orleans Mardi Gras, to the dancefloor. 2018 saw the release of an LP: “Carnaval Callejero Himnos de Club” (Street Carnival Club Anthems).

Malphino
Cumbia, Tropical & Exotica

Malphino are an outer-national, mystical band from an imaginary tropical island - a promised land of hypnotic cumbia rhythms, subtle digital warbling, accordion textures, voodoo vapours and woodblock charm awaits. The band join us as they launch their highly anticipated debut LP on Lex Records.

Mariachi Las Adelitas
All female Mariachi dynamite

Hailing from all corners of Latin America, each member is a fantastic instrumentalist in their own right and there are no less than three lead vocalists in the group. This all female band’s repertoire includes all the mariachi classics, as well as an array of English songs reimagined in their unique mariachi style.

DANCE

Mestizo Folklore Group

A London-based dance group, specialising in Mexican folkloric dances. A visual explosion of music and colour, filled with incredible power and energy. Each of the performances aims to highlight some of the most famous Mexican Folklore dances of the region represented. Current choreographies include Mexican zapateado (footwork) from the regions of Jalisco and Veracruz.

Atlachinolli Aztec
Vibrant, ritualistic Aztec dance

A pre-hispanic Mexica dance group representing the timeless splendour of Aztec culture. The Aztec dance, as we know it today, has its origins in the cultures that were developed along the ancient Mesoamerican world, where the dances were one of the most important components of sacred, ceremonial rituals. Atlachinolli share their vibrant culture with the world to show the splendour of the Aztec people is still alive, the language still spoken and the dances still danced.
